Description:

The Thimble Cactus, scientifically known as Mammillaria gracilis 'fragilis', is a charming and prolific clustering cactus native to central Mexico. It is adored for its miniature, cylindrical, and finger-like stems that are covered in small, harmless white spines. The name 'fragilis' comes from its tendency to easily detach its stems, which allows it to readily propagate and form dense clusters. This rapid clustering habit gives it a delightful, mound-like appearance over time. Perfect for small pots, rock gardens, or as a component in mixed succulent arrangements, the Thimble Cactus is a robust and low-maintenance plant. In late spring to summer, it can produce small, creamy-white flowers that emerge from the stem joints.

Product Length: Individual stems typically about 5-6 cm  in height.

Color: The cactus body is a light green, covered with fine, soft, white spines that give it a frosted appearance.

Offsets: Prolifically offsets and branches from the base, with individual stems easily detaching to propagate and form dense clumps over time.
